Season four
EA SPORTS FC 27 launched on September 25, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It is the fourth game under the FC name and the 34th in EA's long line of football games, built by EA Vancouver and EA Romania. Kylian Mbappe is on the Standard and Ultimate covers, and he shares the Ultimate Plus cover with Jude Bellingham.
In May 2026 EA also secured the AFC Asian Cup license, so the 2027 AFC Asian Cup appears across FC 27, FC Online and FC Mobile.
What is new on the pitch
Movement is more fluid, corner kicks are more dynamic and defending puts more weight on the player's own skill, with PlayStyles rebalanced so player attributes matter more. Agile dribblers get off-balance moves, CPU teams behave smarter and gameplay sliders give more control over how matches play.
Manager Career gets the biggest overhaul in years: a rebuilt transfer market with valuations from TransferRoom's Expected Transfer Value system, multi-stage negotiations and Dynamic Overall Ratings that rise and fall with form, morale and fitness. Ultimate Team adds the FUT Gallery for collecting and displaying player items.
Why it is called FC
On May 10, 2022, EA SPORTS announced that its long licensing agreement with football's world governing body would end on December 31, 2022, and that its series would continue under a new name: EA SPORTS FC. The first game, FC 24, launched on September 29, 2023, and kept licenses for more than 19,000 players, 700 teams, 100 stadiums and 30 leagues.
FC Online and FC Mobile took on the new name in September 2023 too. Whatever you call it, it is still the football game most of the world plays every autumn.
